Review on 🏍️ USA Stock CTX700N Motorcycle Crash Bars & Engine Guard: Durable Frame Protector for CTX 700 N (DUT Automatic) 2014-2019 by Travis Smith

Fits Honda CTX 700N (bare bike)

Shipping from China. It took about 1 month to arrive. Tracking stopped after customs clearance. Fine. The company responds to emails so it seems they are trying to provide good customer service. The hose is thick and the welds feel solid with no holes or spatter. The finish is a thick matte powder coat that is nearly perfect for the motorcycle frame. Not very good. The instructions are written in Chinese. The words are quite difficult to understand. Pictures are on the left and right, so you should be able to install them with a little manual skill. The bars were wrapped in foam, but one of them rubbed the coating in two places. I don't really care that I don't build a show bike. The fittings were wrong, missing a couple of 6mm washers. The front mounting screws were too short. According to the packing list they should be M10x25, mine was M10x20. Well, a trip to the hardware store. Install on one side. The rear bracket is the motor screw. Take out both sides at the same time and the motor will fall off! The right side is more difficult to install. Bends the clutch cable in a weird bend. Tried to pass from above and below, it was much worse from above. When installing the center bracket, I had to bend the metal rear brake line a bit to fit the bracket. I wish there was a rear frame slider to protect the stock muffler. Okay I'll try to update how they hold up over time.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • All right
