The gadget works: connects to an Android phone via Bluetooth and lights up. The trick is to find an app that does what you want. You have the option of buying an app or using one of the dozens of free apps (possibly with limited functionality) available on the App Store. DO NOT limit yourself to the 2 apps listed in the description. (I didn't like it either):
