Review on uxcell 1/4 Inch CCD Flush Mount Rear View Camera for Backup Assistance by Justin Guldin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No rush/hurry.

While I agree that the hole is a bit small, I would prefer it over too big. Drilling into plastic or fiberglass is likely to be slightly larger due to friction. A metal rat tail file works very well, just check the fit often. For a good centered cut I pre-drilled a hole in the middle of where I wanted to place the camera and then used a hole saw. I've seen reviews saying the saw sucks, I think it's because you're not using it properly. I didn't go through anything thick at all, but it was metal. I wasn't forcing, the speed was average and I stopped from time to time to let the saw cool down. If you drive too fast and the saw gets hot, you're more likely to run into problems. Also, make sure what you're putting it in matches the thickness of the camera's feet. You should run a test or two to try and get the best camera angle on your monitor. You can then readjust the grip insert (tool boxes, kitchen drawers) from the outside if it is not too tight. It works great on my Honda CR-V but I had to mount it under the license plate on the back of the sunroof and it's a bit noticeable, I didn't want to ride it in the bumper for fear someone might hit the car and break the Camera. If I needed a new camera or a replacement camera I would put it at the top of my list and buy it again!
