The sound of this exhaust is perfect if you don't want a nasty Jeep, but rather a deeper midrange that won't kill your ears. At idle, the noise is quiet and gets a little louder, but gets very quiet at cruising speed. That means almost no rumble on the freeway. The only complaint I have, however, is that for us 3.8 liter jeep owners, you have to cut the intermediate pipe 2.5 inches so that the hook on the end of the pipe matches the hook mount they send you. The bracket bolts to the existing screws that hold the evaporator in place. So you won't catch the exhaust without cutting the pipe. But after I cut this pipe everything fits tight and now the exhaust is more durable than stock.
