GREAT TOOL FOR REMOVING WHEELS AND BEARINGS FROM VEHICLES

This is my first time using this gripper. Is it expensive. I have another similar tool and am comparing another to this one. It has what they call a camp. consists of two flat concave metal parts that are connected to each other to avoid friction when the screw turns. The screw is super heavy. and the main difference is that the thread on the screw is thinner. There it is mentioned that it is subject to stretching by other mechanics. I will never work on cars enough for that. If you're buying the whole set, you're looking for around $600 or so. I already had adapters and used them with this one to expand the possibilities. The good news is you can use a high torque impact wrench and it will keep ticking. There are several videos on YouTube showing this in action. If you're not careful, this tool can literally damage your hub. The sliding jaws are locked with a hexagon screw lock. This is primarily used to remove wheel bearings without removing the hub from the vehicle. It's ok, but as I said, you need to pay attention to the alignment or it's powerful enough to deal damage. I'm not talking about camber, I'm talking about keeping an eye on that screw to make sure it's right in the center of whatever you push or remove. I keep reading on these forums where people pay $50 to put wheel bearings and stuff like that. This tool will save it. Looking at the top of this bolt where the two washers connect is key to how this tool develops more torque and that's the thinner threads on the bolt itself. Other tools have very steep threads and take a lot more torque to keep them going. This is a real money saver. We put a lot of thought into its design.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not bad
