Be sure to calibrate the throttle.
The new throttle body really woke up my engine and had more torque than I've ever felt from a 5.3 Vortec and then after a test drive I couldn't keep the engine running. I put the old one back on and it still works but not as well as the new TB so I'm returning it for replacement, hopefully the next one will do the job for years to come.
