Review on Masday Silencer Heaters，Pipe Effective Reduction by Gucci Breeze

I have a Propex propane heater. Propex heaters do not have a muffler in the kit unlike diesel heaters, probably because Propex heaters have a quieter exhaust noise than diesel heaters. However, they still make noise, which a grumpy camper with a tent nearby might complain about. So I decided to buy this damper. My main reason for choosing this particular device was the price and the fact that it actually had sound deadening material inside. It only had one review and two stars. The reviewer said it was effective against noise but was starting to rust. I took a chance and ordered it. Upon arrival I examined the muffler and it seemed to me to be solidly made. I could see the inner partition. It has many holes and is filled with fiberglass or other material. It appears to be stainless steel. The first thing I noticed was that the muffler ends are slightly larger in diameter than my Propex exhaust pipe. Since the end fittings on this muffler are the same diameter as other diesel heater mufflers, I find the Propex exhaust pipe to be slightly smaller than the diesel heater exhaust pipes. I found the 3/4" copper pipe to fit snugly around the ends of the muffler and my exhaust pipe so problem solved. Before I cut the exhaust pipe and installed the muffler, I decided to turn on the heater and put the muffler on the end of the exhaust pipe to check the noise level. I was pleasantly surprised at how much exhaust noise was reduced. That's important (no more potential neighbors of grumpy campers with tents!). I am more than happy with this purchase. Time will tell if I have any rust issues hence the reason for four stars. It's a five star exhaust if it doesn't rust. I doubt this will happen and will revise my review later. One thing to look for in a muffler is the presence of a kink in the pipe. Some mufflers do not have a bend, which limits the effectiveness of soundproofing.
