Review on T-fal Ultimate Hard Anodized Nonstick 17-Piece Cookware Set in Black by Jeanie Escobedo

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My rating after 1 year of use.

Hi guys. I was about to write a review for this product because when I saw some compelling reviews that this is a terrible product and pictures showing how bad they are I almost didn't buy it. However, it was the tone of the review that made me think differently, as if they were a competitor trying to lure me away. I also waited a year to write this review. So you can see what moderate usage looks like. My interpretation of moderation is 6-10 times a week. Pots and/or pans are needed. My wife and I both work so we usually cook enough at the weekend to have extra for the week. I have a gas stove with iron grills, so these guys don't have love for their asses. We LOVE this set. They are very light, which is good, but that should also be taken into account as they can easily slide across the platter. After a few uses your mind will adjust so this doesn't happen too often. Each piece is well balanced and the handle never gets hot. If you don't put them in the oven, you should use an oven mitt, etc. Just like anything else you use in the oven. They are very easy to clean. But we don't put them in the dishwasher. The non-stick coating makes cleaning easier! We use all kinds of plastic and metal utensils and we had the first small scratch on the surface which I will point out in the photo. We've used it about a dozen times since then and it hasn't chipped or altered, so I don't mind. There are no problems with lids. All of them are still in working condition, albeit not perfect. The largest lid fits the largest (10.25″) pan, while the medium lid (8″) only fits the largest pot and frying pan, not the skillet. it's annoying. 1st world problems, right? Rivets are non-stick coated. They may require some cleanup. Eggs are especially harmful. These are my claims. that's all. I take it back. My final complaint is the site page itself. They reuse some of the images that don't reflect the T-Fal Titanium line. The best way to know if you're buying titanium is if the bottom of the pot/pan says 'Titanium' and the rivets are also coated. That's right folks, they fixed my titanium deficiency. I have the hard-anodized non-titanium version. I also have a 5 liter titanium pan and the rivets are covered. In my humble opinion this pan is perfect but too big for normal everyday use. The photos were taken on March 14, 2017. I only photographed the most commonly used items: two frying pans and a saucepan. Everything else is in even better condition! I hope my review helps you make a decision. Why is my non-titanium review on a titanium product page? I do not know. When I went to past orders and clicked on it, it took me there. Although honestly. If I had a titanium line. it would be 5 stars.
