I used this attachment in my router table to make some fairly large drawers for my 3/4 pine kitchen pantry. It took a bit of practice on some stock trims to get it right, but nothing particularly difficult. The front and back of the box are butt milled on the front, the sides are milled on edge. Once you set the bit height, use the same setting for both. The only thing you adjust in between is the depth of the fence. The advantage over tongue and groove is the "lock-in" fit of the joint, which is quite strong front to back. I didn't use any mechanical fasteners, just Titebond wood glue. Not as pretty as a swallowtail, but fairly durable and professional looking. This 2 inch cutter is quite large and was designed so you can cut the front of a drawer in a ledge configuration. I didn't use it that way as I made bezels for the drawer fronts to create a ledge to close the gap between the front frame and the drawer. That being said, I could get by with a smaller diameter drill bit. However, I bought this drill because in the future I will be able to route molding fronts without having to buy another drill. high quality cutter that leaves a smooth cut. With a little practice, you can quickly make beautiful boxes.
