AM310 microphone - good sound but wobbly adapter

The sound quality is what you'd expect from a microphone in this price range: full, rich, but crisp sound that's fun. I've only tried it for voice, not for live music. It's really plug and play. It's that easy. There are no drivers. A standard 4ft AB USB cable is included. On the back of the microphone is a headphone jack with a switch to select either PC (or Mac) or direct from the microphone circuitry. Test recordings with headphones on the computer had noticeable delays or delays, which was annoying. Switching the switch to "Monitor" causes no lag and is more comfortable to use. But then you don't get the actual recorded audio that the PC 'hears'. Didn't find the distraction of sounds from the side or behind particularly dramatic. The microphone is quite sensitive. The volume control (for headphone levels) is on the front panel, and pressing the control will mute the microphone, although the sub-minimal directive doesn't specifically mention this. The blue LED will turn red to indicate mute is on. The problem is that pressing the mute button causes the audio to cut out since it's built into the microphone. Turning off the microphone smoothly is not easy. My main issue is the cheapness of the microphone adapter. It mounts to a standard 5/8-inch mic stand (a serviceable 5-inch pole is included), but when the mic is screwed into the adapter, the fit is loose and the mic wobbles, making the whole setup a bit cheap power. There is no sound deadening or rubber dampening and no such accessories are offered. If you don't mind the wobbly adapter, its 5/8" thread fits any number of mufflers. But the sound quality is very good.
