Satisfied with this fireplace insert, I built my own body.

The heat could be stronger. But I like the fact that it's a ceramic heater that doesn't glow bright orange. Seems safer to me. The remote control must be near the fireplace and properly oriented to work. I want this to work from 14'. As for the fire sim, I like the look as it's a good sim. The biggest downside is how bright the logs glow. If they were half the size it would be a great simulation. See my attached video.
