What could be better than a spool of Hobart wire on a Hobart Handler 187? Maybe a cold beer on a hot Sunday afternoon. I'm writing a wiretapping report right now, so let me get on with it. I ran half a dozen (at least) 2lb spools of this Hobart solid wire through my Hobart Handler 187. I don't like buying larger coils because I don't want the wire to corrode/rust while it's in. is in my closed garage. Once the wire starts to corrode/rust you should throw the whole spool in the trash! This is the largest wire size my 187 (.035 inch) handler will take, so I can easily weld a 1/4 inch plate. Highly recommended! EDIT 09/08/2014: I sold my Hander 187 and bought a Hobart Handler 210 and still connect this cable to the unit with no problems! There are no local Hobart dealers here in Hilo. There is a Miller dealership and a Lincoln Electric dealership. But this wire is cheaper than any other and I have no problem.
