If you want one unit to both heat and cool in mild climates then this is a good solution. It is perfect for a medium sized bedroom or living room. The heating function works like any small heater. However, the fan function is not as powerful as a dedicated fan. The PureGuardian Oscillating Fan also comes with a remote control. This is a more convenient way of using the heater as the control panel on top of the heater doesn't seem to be sensitive enough. In addition, there is a temperature gauge on the top of the heater that shows the temperature in the room. Don't confuse this with the temperature you can set, as there's no automatic climate control feature. It's just a fan, no air conditioning. That being said, I think it's a good solution for people who don't want to use a separate heater in the winter and a separate fan in the summer. The shape of the tower looks good in any setting.
