The plastic ring around the strap broke the first time the product was used. The magnet still works, but it's not easy to get into the locked position. You have to fiddle with it to lock it in place so the rangefinder doesn't fall out if you hit a bump with your car. And if you manage to lock it, getting to the unlocking position won't be easy. You end up fumbling with it and wasting time trying to get the rangefinder out. I can see the plastic ring peeling off and I am concerned that after a few uses it will no longer hold the magnet in place. Not a good design. I just bought another magnetic tape to see if it works better.
