Not only is it 1/9" thick and it doesn't add to your laptop it also weighs NOTHING.When the package arrived I was a little wary of the weight but it turns out the weight was due to the paper packaging it came in (almost everything has been recycled!).It is so easy to install, it's so STRONG and durable, it doesn't move at all (even when you have it flat) and it's easy to use once you figure out how to work with it! Typing is more comfortable than ever r, my neck and my back are no longer burdened. And for those of you (ie me) who were worried about not being big enough, that's fine. There are two heights, both of which I'm comfortable with, although typing is more comfortable at a lower setting. The fact that it's also portable is a game changer - convenience in a coffee shop too?! Plus, it clips to your desk when you're using it, but then stays neatly tucked away in the bottom of your laptop with lightweight magnets when not in use. I seriously can't say enough good things about this product. I love it. Seriously, if you're thinking of making a purchase, just do it. You'll be so glad you did.
