I have used them on many bikes for many years, both for travel and daily commuting, and they are fantastic. I think it's great that I don't have to wear separate shoes when cycling, but can still pedal by feel. Probably the best thing about them for city driving is that you can pedal while waiting for a red light. So you can just click down to start again. They hold up very well, in my 5 years and multiple pairs on bikes I've never had a single crack at the top or where your foot goes and only once had a crack where it comes with a bolt to the pedal so I know that small metal washers are used in addition to the screw and have not had any problems since. The box comes with a square metal brace which I think serves as a washer that you can use, but a small metal washer will do the job much better. Even without a washing machine works great, I recommend.
