Great toe clips for getting around town

I was afraid they would be too fragile and not give me strength when booting up. I was pleasantly surprised that they hold my foot (size 10.5) really well. If you're cruising around town and need to put your toe braces on and off a lot, this is great. 6/2016 Edit: still strong, still 5 stars. I just ordered another pair for another bike I have. The other day someone was driving in front of me and I had to hit the brakes hard to stop FAST. They had my feet caught immediately before eating the…

They are great for my 12 year old grandson.

This is a great entry-level pedal clip for those who cannot use a clipless design. I like that they work well even without a strap. My grandson had an easy time getting used to them and they seemed durable but time will tell. I was disappointed that they didn't provide instructions on how to use the metal plate adapters that came with it. To learn how to use them, I had to watch a customer video. As it turned out, I didn't need them. Also, the included screws weren't long enough to mount…

best investment ever

After a few "accidents" (broken leg, broken back) with clamp type I had to get rid of them on both bikes (bicycle and hybrid) but of course had nothing, didn't cause any problems of my own lack of traction and pedal slippage. I hated the straps on those "cages" for the same reason. A friend of mine recommended this guy to me and I couldn't be happier with them. I get all the pull up strength I need, but at the same time I can get out quickly when I need to. My daughter rode my bike last fall…

Solid choice! Best Parts & Components

I always put toe clips on my bike because they help me increase pedaling power. I don't like straps because they are too difficult to remove. So the toe clips give me the strength I need without the safety concerns of having to remove the straps. They were easy to install. The only thing that bothered me was the instructions, which weren't very clear. But I've installed them on other bikes before, so it's not a big deal to me. You need to find the back of the pedal and then orient them so that…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Upgrades available

These pedal clips are good. The quality of the material and the integrity are good so I'm giving them three stars. The problem is that one of the clips is much smaller than the other. I don't understand why they make them in different sizes. They're nested within each other, so I thought maybe one of them just stretched due to the nesting, but if you examine them you can see that one of them clearly has more physical material in it. So bottom line, none of the clips fit my foot, so I can't use…

Great buy, don't forget to add your own metal washers

I have used them on many bikes for many years, both for travel and daily commuting, and they are fantastic. I think it's great that I don't have to wear separate shoes when cycling, but can still pedal by feel. Probably the best thing about them for city driving is that you can pedal while waiting for a red light. So you can just click down to start again. They hold up very well, in my 5 years and multiple pairs on bikes I've never had a single crack at the top or where your foot goes and only…

Comfortable and easy to ride with

I started cycling and wasn't quite ready to wear cycling shoes. I like it when my legs are free, at least for the moment. However, when using pedals without a strap, the pedal would sometimes bounce off me and spin, or my foot would come off the pedal. I decided to try them as a compromise to help me feel better. That helped. They put your foot where it needs to be and help you focus on pedaling. Some reviews say they are too wide. The only issue I had in the beginning was that if you lean the…

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Legacy

I would give them 3.5 stars if that was an option. They're definitely inexpensive if they last. But there were several questions. See attached photos for explanation. Funny 'instructions' warn you that 'strapless toe clips have no straps'. Aside from that useful tidbit, they simply consist of a diagram showing the orientation of the toe clip, bolts, and nuts relative to the pedal. Along with 4 bolts and 4 nuts (with lock washers), the toe clips came with two slotted rectangular metal plates…
