Charming but needs its own foundation.
Chalkboards are somewhat thick paper, but if there is no pedagogical basis then a light breeze will blow it away. We bought them small round wooden blocks but we had to glue them with hot glue to keep them from falling. We also took very small recycled paper plates, flipped them over and glued wood onto the plates to create a solid base. We just decorated the plates with flowers for a wedding and it turned out great.
