Thin and fragile
As others have said, very very THIN plastic. It must be held with your finger so that the paint does not get under the cuts. Make sure your brush is very dry. I don't think the plastic on this stencil is thick enough to draw well with a pencil. This works with paint, but you have to be slow and careful.
