Tried I'm not a fan of this type and size of letter stencils. It's great for someone else. I chose to return to a different form for my needs. I got three packs for $9.

They fit our board perfectly. We've used chalkboard markers on several chalkboards and they turned out great! We used a baby wipe to wipe up the excess between the letters, if using chalk I would recommend this.

Cannot comment on the durability of the product as it only arrived today, but it is very thin making it difficult to handle accurately. I leave it because I don't have time to look for a replacement. But I would be willing to pay more for a harder plastic stencil. It would be much easier to use! Wouldn't recommend unless you're willing to exercise extreme caution.

I will definitely not buy this product again and will not recommend it to anyone. They are fragile and will slip if you try to track them down. The letters don't match either. I would send them back but not worth it. Also, the box this item ended up in was ridiculously large!

As others have said, very very THIN plastic. It must be held with your finger so that the paint does not get under the cuts. Make sure your brush is very dry. I don't think the plastic on this stencil is thick enough to draw well with a pencil. This works with paint, but you have to be slow and careful.

Bought this stencil to engrave a basic black wedding guest book using a gold leaf marker. This stencil was perfect for this job. The letters are big enough and I like the cursive writing. It's extremely flexible and can move around easily, so I'd suggest weighting it onto what you're stenciling. All in all a great purchase and I would recommend it.
