My camera flickered and then the image disappeared. I went without for a while. I wasn't sure if it was a camera or something electrical. Ultimately, I chose this option. I figured I had nothing to lose and the price was somewhere in the range I would consider in case of failure. Installation was easy. 20 minutes max. The end result is good. It has the lines described in other threads but I can ignore them because I can look back again and not have to pay commission to the dealer for something I was able to make myself. I am basically satisfied with the results. BTW, I have a 2013 Ford Explorer XLT.
