Excellent Addition To Our Ranch

This electric wheel barrow has been an excellent addition to our rural home. Having used it for only a few weeks, I cannot address long term durability but I can give my review of its operation and usefulness.I will begin with the packaging and assembly: I cannot remember ever receiving merchandise of any kind that was better packaged for protection of the equipment. The carton was made of heavy duty cardboard and every possible area of damage was padded and well protected. Assembly was straight forward while the instructions were a bit sparse, they were adequate. They did show the electrical control box as something that needed to be bolted on by the owner but the wheel barrow came with the electrical box already attached. The wheel barrow is a bit smaller than our old wheel barrow but the addition of the electric motor to push / pull the load makes this a great help with all the various maintenance chores. The speed control is a paddle type spring loaded switch that is pushed down to engage the motor – the further down you push, the faster the wheel barrow moves. Removing downward pressure results in the switch immediately springing back and the wheel barrow stopping all movement. There is another separate control on the left handle for forward or reverse. The battery container box has an on / off switch and an adapter for recharging. We have hauled everything imaginable including a full load of gravel with absolutely no effort. (Now if I could just figure out to make it load itself, this would be a 10 star item.) The speed control is sensitive, well designed, and reacts to the operator immediately. My 5’1” wife has used the wheel barrow on several occasions and feels comfortable and in control. Bottom line: This is a well-designed, easy to use, "tool” that is well worth the cost.

Pros
  • It's a versatile tool that can be used on different terrains, from flat concrete surfaces to uneven or sloping terrains
Cons
  • It may not be as balanced as a traditional wheelbarrow
