Review on πŸ₯’ Spiralizer 5 Blade Vegetable Slicer by Heather Davis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fourth time, nice!

I've been trying to jump on the Zoodle bandwagon for a while. My first try was when I received a high quality handcrafted metal thing that looked a bit like a pencil sharpener. I felt like an idiot calling and asking how to use, um, like a manual pencil sharpener. Needless to say, when I got some, it was a combination of vegetable shavings and finger skin. Not what I thought I wanted. It sat in my little kitchen utensil drawer for a while before I gave it to my son who wanted to learn Zoodle. Then I got a bowl-like device with a lid, sharp razors, and a rotating handle. It could have worked if I wanted thick ribbons 2 inches long and 2 inches wide. Not the zoodle/noodle look or texture I was looking for. And just to get a bowl full of ribboned zucchini it took 20 minutes and it looked gross and worst of all it made a big mess. This gadget instead of a sink went to the trash. The third one I got was the Palemo Spiralizer and it was everything I wanted! Easy to use. Easy to clean. Imagine the perfect vegetable noodles! I was so happy that I used it for the first time. My son (the one I gave the vegetable sharpener to was there and asked for it. Damn. He's so cool. He really loved them. Okay. He took them home as gifts. One more time for himself and extra with summery pumpkin/zucchini noodles I had fun with "pintresting" spaghetti-like dishes, vegetables don't boil, don't need to, sautΓ© or blanch quickly.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
