3m lead the way in adhesives and this is another fantastic product. Bought not to install windshield or auto glass. A friend had several windows in a house with double glazing that after 20 years were peeling off the seal and moisture was seeping into the inside of the glass and looking ugly. This product wasn't available in my city of Tennessee, so I used silicone sealant on the first window and it sucked. At the second window, I refused to torment, so I ordered this putty, and it wasn't difficult. Just the right consistency, easy to spread and cover. I would like to point out one thing. As my friend had to reinstall the window insert that same day I was running out of time and would be ordering another 3m quick dry sealer for this specific purpose in the future. However, everything ended well. If you use auto glass, I recommend not driving for 24 hours (12 minimum) and tape the glass in place for the full 48 hours. This material is an adhesive and sticks to your skin and clothing. I recommend slowing down, carefully preparing the surface, making sure everything is in place, allowing the work area to move freely, and then putting on nitrile or latex gloves before applying the adhesive. After you put on your gloves, use some rubbing alcohol to remove any invisible dirt from wherever you applied the glue. If everything is done carefully, your project will stay strong for a lifetime.
