These soft-tipped lawn darts seemed like a good idea. However, we found that when they hit the ground, about half the time the bottom part detached and the top part flew away. We had to change our rules of the game slightly so that the launcher counts as a circle landing if the ground stays in the circle even if the top bounces well past it. It didn't happen every time, but often enough to be annoying. I regretted not using real darts with a sharp end for the game. We were all adults and I'm sure I could handle it without risk of injury.
