I was skeptical of anything that works after reading so many negative reviews of these devices in general. It had the most positive reviews so I bought it and I love it! I had to replace my laptop's hard drive with an SSD. This device cloned a 1TB drive while it was encrypted. I put a newly cloned SSD in a laptop and it worked great. The computer hiccuped when it first booted up, but I've had absolutely no problems since. The data was copied without problems. So, to easily create a standalone encrypted 1TB disk clone, it deserves 5 stars. Total offline cloning time was about 6 hours. I think there was around 250GB of data on the hard drive. I'm not sure if this slowed down the encryption. An important detail to note is that the manual states that offline cloning is only possible if the destination disk is larger than the source disk. Replacing the 1TB HDD with a 1TB SSD worked. After everything was done, I analyzed the new hard drive and it shows 18GB unallocated. Based on that, I would guess that the original drive was 18GB less than the new SSD, but I'm not sure. If this is the case and someone wants to increase the size of their drive, they might want to create an online clone with a process that goes through the computer so they can format the new drive to their liking. Easiest drive upgrade I've ever done. I'm happy.
