Review on Canon VIXIA R700 Camcorder Black by Maurice Rivera

Updated 4/17/18 Captures good video in fairly low light at a great price. The biggest surprise was that the batteries and charging cables are not compatible with older versions of Vixia. The on/off and other controls are very different from the old Vixias. I use 3 old Vixias so it's a hassle for me to keep the batteries etc separate from the old Vixia stuff. In addition, the battery is installed in a completely different way than before and is not as simple. It fits under some tabs instead of just inserting the battery. Thought for a while that I had the wrong spare battery as the installation wasn't that easy and not that easy at all. Don't have an old Vixia? Ignore all my whining, except maybe put a battery in, practice that. A big plus for this camera is the $207 video quality compared to previous prices for similar quality.
