So my chest is 42 and I'm 5.11, waist 34,195 pounds. Asian XXL fits perfectly, not tight, more like a regular oversized shirt. I am MTB The pads are in a good place, probably more for side impacts and something for overhead impacts like low branches. If you fall face first into your shoulder, the front of your shoulder is unprotected. It runs from the top of the shoulder and down the side of the arm. I crashed my mountain bike a few months ago and had a half torn rotator cuff. That and elbow pads would help. But it was a terrible accident and I found nothing but a full suit that seemed to save me. This was the second closest and most affordable. Good quality but for me it was more important to match the price.
