I bought this system to be able to see what's happening when I'm out of town.The set-up of the recorder was relatively easy BUT being able to view alarms is NOT. Tech support is excellent (usually answers questions 1-2 days later). The tech support from this company is the best I have ever had from ANY product that I needed help with.The cameras have very good picture clarity (day & night). As long as there is no fog or wind. If there is, you'll get alarms for that. Currently am getting alarms in my garage (camera there) in the middle of the night.no wind, no one there, but alarms for "movement". What's moving? I don't have any idea.The worst part of the system is the VMS app for viewing alarms. It has to be "on" 24/7 in order to view alarms. I turn my computers off when I go to bed and can't use VMS on my phone because I don't keep it connected 24/7. This leaves me with no way to "view" my alarms.If you have a way to keep VMS on all the time, this is a great system. It just doesn't work for me.
