Review on Kidde Hardwired Smoke Alarm with Battery Backup & Interconnect, Pack of 6 - Test-Silence Button by Jeff Morris

I had an older version of this one that had reached its 10 year lifespan and needed to be replaced. I actually only bought this version because I knew it would have the same connectors, which would be easier to replace than another model or brand. Inserting the battery down is NONE! To change the battery, you have to remove everything from the ceiling mount and the battery cover on both models is very difficult for me to open. I'd like to find one with side or top battery placement with the same connectors. But it was cheap and seems to be working fine after 6+ months (no continuous chirping).
