As many other reviews have said this appears to be a well made product, looks good, can splice multiple strands etc. Can't say anything bad about the product itself. I bought 6 sets, 3 snapped together and the other 3 together and everything works and they look great. The problem, and my utter frustration, is the most basic measurements everyone wants to know. Of course, when buying, everyone wants to know how far the product goes from the 1st to the 10th tube. Based on that distance, you can do a simple calculation by dividing it by the length of your run to determine how many sets are required. The product description makes it very clear that the length of the decorative cord (minus the connector cord and end cap) or "useful" length as I would call it, is 11.8 feet. If you envision the bulbs being about 15.75 inches apart, give or take. It sounds something like that, because when you read about these lights, most state that the spacing between the bulbs is 12 to 16 inches. ", depending on the set. I have two 28ft runs at my house. A quick calculation with their 11.8ft number shows that 2 sets per run is 4+ feet shorter, so I really need 3 sets per jog to get them the required distance. Then I might position the tubes a bit closer together to eliminate the overhang. This is normal so I ordered 6 sets a lot more than what you'd think 19" (see pic ). A 19" x 9" spacing between 10 tubes results in a 171" or 14.25 foot spacing from tube 1 to tube 10. Purchase kits. Just 2 kits would almost cover one of my runs so I only had to buy 4 kits instead of 6. Due to their inaccurate measurement, I spent nearly $70. I can't imagine this being done for any other reason than to increase sales by getting people to buy more sets than they need. They need to correct this spec in the product description and it would be nice if they would refund 1/3 of my spend as this was unnecessary and only happened because their description was inaccurate. I hope this review helps others not having the same problem as me.
