I purchased this 5ft x 8ft rug for my kitchen. My small apartment, the main living area, is just one space for kitchen and living room. The carpet not only lies well under my bare feet, but also defines the kitchen as a separate area. Although the rug is made of synthetic fibers, which is essential in the kitchen, it does not feel synthetic. It has a soft cotton feel. It was rolled up and it took me less than 24 hours to fully lay it on my floor. I try to get by with just vacuuming which is another reason I chose this rug, I can vacuum it very well. There is fluff in the dirt container of my vacuum cleaner, which is causing hair loss. When I'm lying on the floor next to a carpet, it smells like new carpet, but otherwise I don't notice it. Although the mat does not have a rubber base, it does not slide on the laminate. . Maybe a smaller rug will do, but this size isn't. Blue is a delicate shade. I'm perfectly satisfied.
