Bought to replace Logitech Z623. The speakers don't seem to have a proper filter as they hum when plugged into the same circuit as my computer (the Z623 and even my old regular $40 speakers avoid this problem). Unfortunately the nearest outlet is on a separate circuit in 2 rooms so I have a large extension cord on the wall, floor and hallway to make them work and it won't help. Also, a lot of noise comes out of the speaker port with all the electronics inside, about 2-3 times more noise than the other speaker port. Really wanted to be happy with it, the remote and bluetooth features are great, they look sharp and I don't know what else to get with those features. Maybe mine are defective, I don't know, but it looks like these issues are design related. Quick note: If you're moving from the Z632 you definitely need a subwoofer to accompany these speakers, they won't compete on their own but they're a notch higher with a good subwoofer. * Update, also on another circuit. I can still hear a slight hum, especially since it's quieter outside at night. So I connected them to the washer's dedicated circuit, checked the grounding, and unplugged the washer. However, there is also a slight hum that gets very annoying at night and is audible in my bedroom. Either these speakers are defective or they are poorly constructed, I don't understand why they are rated so highly. **Update #2: Kanto directly replaced a new pair of speakers. The new pair doesn't have the bass/port noise issue that the first pair had. I believe Revain originally sent me a returned pair of speakers that had a blown woofer or electronics board. Canto also sent me a ground loop breaker and it almost completely eliminated the new pair's hum. The double-shielded auxiliary cable did the rest of the humming. I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars (was 2), customer service went out of their way to resolve any issues. Some white noise can still be heard at the highest three volumes in a quiet room, but no white noise is audible when playing music. The speakers sound great, love the wireless remote and bluetooth. I still think something could be done by putting a ground loop eliminator or some sort of 50/60hz filter in the speakers themselves to make them work out of the box then they would be a 5 star unit. For anyone reading this review, it's important to note that all of the issues I've encountered don't exist if you have the option of using optical inputs. I use aux.
