They are described as "flannel" but have a velvety texture. The touch is luxurious and the color (champagne) is elegant. The little bead that you attach to the ribbon that holds the bag together adds a touch of elegance and I love that. When you stuff them all the way they look adorable. The only problem with them is if you don't stuff them all the way. The bag bends and folds when not full. It would be nice if some support options were included, at least a cardboard ring for the bottom and for the inside to stand up when not completely filled. They were packed in a soft postal folder. They were all rolled up to keep them from wrinkling. The beads were on top so they fall out as soon as you open the mail program, so you have to be careful when opening it in the middle of a desk or table or else they will fall on the floor. My only criticism of them is that I think they are a bit overpriced per piece. I think they are good bags but they have to be better.
