I bought this for my husband, he thought it would be a compact camping ax versus a sporty throwing axe. Well he loves it, he didn't get the chance to use it as a throwing ax as we don't have a tree stump or target in the backyard and we can only play with friends who have one. But we took it on a week-long trip in our land jeep, where it became possible to use it. He was able to sand down a problematic, broken, dried branch. It was good but not the same as a log splitter as expected. The edge is well smoothed and could actually be used for cutting a few more times before being run over with a whetstone. No complaints so far Thank you
