Review on Samsung 2 5 Inch Internal MZ 75E500B EU by Stanisaw Augustynowi ᠌

Best product I have ever reviewed, I recommend it to everyone!

I remembered the iMac of 2022, when the battery in the laptop swelled up and it was necessary to temporarily replace it with something. The battery was replaced, but it doesn’t pull back to the laptop, so I decided to prepare the iMac for an honorable old age. About 7 years ago I already changed his HDD to an SSD, but with a capacity of 120GB (then the disks were expensive) - it was worth it, but at least I didn’t use the computer as the main one - the place disappeared somewhere, so I looked towards the new SSD and at the moment " price-quality" these are 500 GB disks, it would be possible to take another brand cheaper, but there is trust in Samsung, so I settled on this model. I connected the drive via USB (with a SATA-USB adapter), but it did not appear in the list. Moved to the next socket and the system (macOS Sierra) saw it. A special program for transferring data from Samsung did not get out, so I made it with regular software from Apple. I formatted it and rolled onto it (restored) all the contents from the previous disk with the system, i. E. made a copy. Then I rebooted with the CMD + R keys held down, where I chose to make the new SSD become the main one (journaled). Then I turned off the computer, pulled out the disk from the USB, disassembled the computer and changed one SSD to another. After that I turned it on and the whole system started up perfectly. I didn’t make backups, I just packed everything that was of value into an archive and uploaded it to the cloud before all the manipulations. I measured the speed with the AmorphousDiskMark program, got 286MB / s for reading and 232MB / s for writing, which is adequate for SATA2 in my computer. In the end, I got what I wanted. The price turned out to be 4700 (5200, but 520 bonuses were accrued) - it’s a sin to complain.

Pros
  • Price (took for 4700r) Brand
Cons
  • My iMac 2022, which has SATA2, so I only squeeze half out of the disk :)
