is an extra layer to protect my glass from cracks as I use my phone all day at work . and I juggle bags a lot, so I drop them on the sidewalk all the time. but I don't want a bulky case. It doesn't protect the corners, but it's great for the screen. My kid who skateboards and blows his phone through the air keeps breaking the screen. It saved his phone a few times. It's also great for tucking a finger or two behind the strap so I can hold the phone with one hand and read in bed. I even attached a D ring to it to secure it to the top. This is a great deal and a cheap replacement.
