Fairly easy to install but I imagine it would be difficult for a thief to remove. The lock faces the center of the car, making it a bit more difficult to pick, but having a unique key will still be difficult for most people to pick. Care must be taken to ensure that it is firmly seated between the pedal and the floor, otherwise it can be easily twisted. I attached mine to the clutch pedal because I thought it would be too easy for a thief to operate the car with the emergency brake when the brake pedal is secured.
