I bought them based on the reviews. After reading it, many of the positive reviews seem to relate to other things. These shoes are quality. I bought them for my son who doesn't always wear socks and likes to jump in puddles. His shoes will stink quickly and he will outgrow them after 3-4 months. Now he is 6 years old and we usually buy him brand name shoes for 40-50 dollars. These shoes are cheaper quality than a $14-$16 pair of Walmart branded shoes. Traction on the ground is almost non-existent and almost all are poorly built. I asked him to wear them with socks to make sure they were the right size too and they are. But oh my gosh, save your money and time and just buy shoes at Walmart. I am sending these back. At this price we usually get children from NB, Nike or Acics. They have the same feel and build quality as the shoes you get as an option for $10-$12 with shipping.
