Review on TuffRider Womens Sierra Patch Breech Sports & Fitness by Flavio Iyer

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Wanted to love her, but.

Firstly, as other reviewers have said, the material is "harder" than regular jodhpurs. My competition breeches are made of the same material, so I'm used to it. However, despite the same size, they are slightly smaller than my competition breeches (my Ovation competition breeches). When I took them out of the packaging I really liked them. However, I did notice that some of the stitching was unraveling near the button closures. No big deal I thought and cut off the little ends. I drove it for the first time yesterday. Because they were smaller than expected they were a little tighter than I wanted but I managed an hour of work with level ground and a fence with no problems and they weren't slippery at all. They have performed well for our hot Southern California summer, but in terms of breathability, I prefer the Kerrits Flow Rise tights. I will not wear these breeches on the hottest hot days but they can definitely be worn in the summer. I came home and took off these pants. To my disappointment, I found that the seams on the knee pad and at the very top of the "euro seat" seam had come undone - not right! I really want to like these pants. But did the seams unravel both before and after my first ride? No thank you. They may only be $30, but unless TuffRider can prove their stitching holds, I won't be buying them again.
