I needed this tool to reinstall the valve springs on my '71 VW Bus. I already removed them with the O'Reilly loaner tool which did the job. But I wanted something with better reinstallation accessibility to have better access to the valve retainer grooves. When I received the compressor, I immediately noticed that the tooling was not ready. Most adapters, as well as the large C-clamp, had burrs and metal shavings. After retooling my new tool, I used it to get the job done. First, I'm very glad I didn't use it to uninstall. If I did, it wouldn't survive the install. You'll notice from my photos that the C-clamp isn't consistent anymore and doesn't even fit in the case anymore. The metal is so cheap that simply compressing the valve spring (its purpose) severely deforms the yoke. On the 8th spring I was barely able to use the tool as it didn't rest flush with the valve and spring. I'll be back. I would not buy this (or probably a similar product in red or blue cases) as I believe they are all made by the same company and have different seller names that are unknown and indistinguishable BECAUSE YOU ENJOY IT IS LIKE WITH CHILDREN SOMETIMES THEY GET DISAPPOINTED BUT SOON THEY WILL BE EVERYWHERE SO ENJOY!
