Replaced the original control board following the instructions provided with the new board. The starter then engages for 1 second, which is usually not long enough to start the engine. When the engine started, everything worked correctly. It takes 10 times to start, which is not good for auto-start in standby mode. Called Briggs customer service and was told I would have to call a service technician at my expense before they could do anything. The original cranked until the engine started every time, just misread the Hz. It's cheaper to buy a second new one and hope it works properly than owning one machine. No telephone conversation with the technician possible? Pay them and you can get customer service.
