The cartridges are a bit more difficult to fit into the printer but once installed they work well and cost significantly less than Brother cartridges. That being said, as far as the printer itself goes, I feel that not only does it use a lot more ink than it should, but I've also noticed that even though I only print in black and white, I've had to change all the color cartridges - doubtful . So I'm glad I'm not paying too much for Brother branded cartridges - it's definitely worth a try! My second order from them.
