Review on Dorman 74430 Window Regulator Roller by Tim Larsen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Did what needs to be done.

It seems to be one of those one-size-fits-all kits for countless uses, which somehow explains the lack of any instructions, any instruction manual. A common downside of Dorman products, although they've saved my ass on more than one occasion. The window was smashed by the vandals and any other evidence that might have been there was destroyed. Wisdom received, these are nylon rollers that are pressed onto a steel ball bar. I left the old steel parts in place, installed the new rollers in the channel, aligned them and pressed the bushing (nylon roller) onto the ball with a C clamp. 1997 Safari You will never be caught using the b-rollers at the end, the rollers will be in place in the channel and then pushed against the ball. Hope this helps someone. Repair manuals, YOUTUBE, everything gets a bit vague, especially in the tricky places. Keep the belief it's still better than paying for a monthly car/truck.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Not everything fits
