Review on PaceSetter 72C1194 Armor Exhaust Header by Jack Boldt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better Than Expected

1997 Nissan D21 (Hardbody) 4x4 Pickup w/ KA24E 4-Cylinder Engine / Manual Transmission The pacesetter may have improved over the years. I was hesitant to buy this header because I remembered the quality of the Pacesetter 10 or more years ago. I have to say that this title impressed me. This is the first armored head I have ever bought from them. This can be a differentiator. This holds up MUCH better. The fit was perfect. My only major complaint about the header was the extra connector for the air injection system, which isn't available on all models of my truck. It doesn't matter that it was there, but the problem is that it was already drilled into the pipe. Since this injection system is optional (unlike the EGR system) I would suggest installing a plug to make it universal but leaving it undrilled in the pipe. It's a lot easier to drill a pipe than stuffing the hole with a weird M24 x 1.5 ball end cap (which cost me almost $20)! Throw out the gaskets (except for the manifold gasket I think) and buy real flange gaskets. Hey, for the price I'm very satisfied and this header deserves high marks.
