I have an Electrolux fridge with EWF02 filters. I replaced it twice before attempting to save money with this filter ($30 vs $50 for OEM). After replacing my one year old spare OEM filter with this one, I flushed a gallon through the filter and that's all I normally need for an OEM filter. I tried the water and it was actually WORSE than tap water. I ended up flushing at least 15 gallons (using a 1 gallon jug) and the taste of the water has never improved. I have now signed up for a 6 month Electrolux water filter replacement which is $42 each or $12 difference which is worth it if the taste and quality of your drinking water and ice is important to you. I took this product out, replaced it with a new OEM filter, drained 1 gallon and the very first glass tasted like clean drinking water. However, if you don't use fridge water or think people can't tell the difference between water and bad taste, I recommend you just get a Britta filter or something similar because it's so much better than that.
