First came with a melted cord as per Dean's review. There must be really unhappy workers at the factory. As others have said, this is a budget Bosch. The screen and manual identify it as a Bosch product. I currently have some regrets trying to save the $50 difference between this and the equivalent Bosch at my local parts store, but I'll try again and see if a substitute is available. the same sad condition. Update: The block exchange worked fine. Updated his software and have only used it on one car so far but it worked like a charm. So I'm deducting 1 star. The software update was very slow. The first attempt was actually aborted after about 15 minutes. I was afraid to cancel the update for fear of ruining the device, but when it made no progress after an hour I canceled it and immediately ran the software updater again. It worked fine the second time. It still lasted over 30 minutes but it didn't stop and the device didn't lock up, aborting the first update attempt.
