Review on πŸ’§ AQUACREST GXSV65R Replacement Filter: Enhanced Compatible Filtration for Clear and Refreshing Water by David Everett

Revainrating 1 out of 5

What happened to ANSI 53 and 401 filtering?

This was a purchase of filters I bought again last year. I checked an old order and reordered what I believe was the same product. The manufacturer has changed the product. This product is no longer ANSI/NSF 53 certified for VOCs, cysts, drugs or lead. In the accompanying brochure there is only one line of chlorine taste and smell information. The companion booklet for the previous kit with the same model number contains a 13 line filtration statement for substances including but not limited to substances such as benzene, lead, bisphenol A and mercury. So this 2-pack only claims to filter out chlorine (ANSI/NSF 42). Another subtle label change is that the new version is called AQU-FQSVF, while the older set with more complete filtering is called AQU-FQSVF-D. With this filter, the water flow is much higher. Probably because it doesn't filter anything. i will return it

Pros
  • Replacement under sink water filter
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
