Review on πŸš— Folding Type Power Handle Knob: Enhance Car Steering with APROFAMILY Spinner in Black by Jason Bell

Great for me on interiors

I had a "crazy" on my first car in 1963 and loved it. I haven't used them since 1967 and have heard over the years that they are illegal in some states. Probably not now, but I don't know. In any case, I got arthritis in my shoulders as I got older, and sometimes the hard turns of the steering wheel cause too much discomfort, so I went in search of one of them. One of the best things about the setup is that it installs with a socket wrench and not a screw like some others, which would be harder to get a really tight fit. I installed it on a Toyota with the thinnest of rubber grommets and they tightened very tight without slipping at all. I loved being able to fold it up when not needed, or if I left the car at the shop, or with a young valet who may have never used it and can be careless and reckless - not that they really are dangerous, but if you've never used them, you should get a feel for them before attempting a "fancy" wheel! (in my opinion). PLEASE NOTE: The packaging/instructions are in Japanese. I don't read Japanese, but with that attitude, I learned to swear at it. JUST KIDDING! Installation is so easy that a CAVEMAN can install it. (My wife could tell a caveman installed it.) The handle folds easily with the push of a button and snaps back and locks without a button. The hardware is a bit loose and sagging (up/down movement rather than loose grip on the steering wheel) which is a little embarrassing but I don't think it's a problem. I think it spins on ball bearings because it's very smooth. I use it mostly when pulling in and out of parking spaces or exiting corners, and it takes very little effort to make sharp turns compared to using the steering wheel. It saves me shoulder pain and discomfort in these situations. This one costs a little more than some, but it's worth it.
