It was less than I expected. I think it was my fault for not checking the size. However, this is not a standard sized piggy bank. I put in new batteries and it worked at first, but I hand counted the loose change in it and the counter was inaccurate, pennies off. I later found that the meter sometimes misreads and mixes up some coins so the quantity may not be correct. It also takes a lot of effort to insert the coins into the slot, but the instructions say not to insert the coins too much. The counter reset to 0 out of nowhere when I had already deposited so much change. Too much hassle to return it so I'll probably just replace the lid somehow and use a pig jar.
